How do I work out a student’s position in class?

Rank the students from the highest average to the lowest. The highest is 1st. Students with exactly the same average share a position.

What do I do when two students have the same score?

They share the same position, and the next position is skipped. Scores of 80, 75, 75 and 60 give 1st, 2nd, 2nd and 4th.

Is my class list kept or sent anywhere?

No. The ranking is worked out on your own screen and nothing is stored or sent.

Should I rank by total or by average?

If every student took the same subjects, either gives the same order. If students took different numbers of subjects, rank by average.
