Result time is the hardest week of the term: scores in exercise books, totals added by hand, positions argued over, and report cards written one at a time. StudyPat does the adding, ranking and printing for you, so your teachers only enter scores and write remarks.
From scores to report cards in five steps
1
Set up your scoring once
Choose your score divisions (for example CA 30 and Exam 70) and your grading scale. StudyPat checks that the marks add up to 100.
2
Teachers enter scores
Each subject teacher opens their own score sheet on a phone or computer. Type a score, press Enter, move down. Every score saves by itself, and a score above the maximum is caught straight away.
3
Class teachers add remarks
Write one comment for each grade and apply it to the whole class in one press. Use {name} and each child’s first name is filled in. Then adjust any single child by hand.
4
Check the broadsheet
Every student and subject on one table, with totals, averages, grades and positions worked out for you.
5
Publish when you are ready
Parents see report cards only after you publish them. Print them or save them as PDF.
What you get
Score input that saves as you type
No save button to forget. A small indicator shows “All changes saved” or tells you exactly what did not save. Student names stay in view as you scroll.
Your own score divisions
CA, CA1, CA2, Exam, Practical. Set them per class and term. Changing a division never alters scores already entered.
A broadsheet that builds itself
Totals, averages, grades and positions. Students with the same average share a position, and subjects a student does not take can be left out so they do not lower the average.
Professional report cards
Scores, grade, class average, position, teacher and principal remarks, and the principal’s signature. Termly and whole-session (cumulative) versions, in your school’s colours.
Remarks in seconds
One comment per grade, saved for good. Apply it to everyone, keeping remarks already written, and see how many were filled, kept or skipped.
Personal qualities
Punctuality, neatness, politeness and more, rated from 1 to 5 by the class teacher and printed beside the scores.
You decide who sees results, and when
Publishing is a button you press class by class. Once a class is published, its scores and remarks are locked so nothing changes by accident, and an admin can unpublish if a correction is needed.
You can also hold results until fees are cleared, or until a parent enters a result scratch card. Scratch cards are secure PIN cards you generate for the term; each works once. Schools that sell them turn results into income and make sure only paying parents see them. If your school publishes continuous assessment mid-term, that can be released on its own.
Teachers and parents get exactly what they need
- A teacher sees only their own subjects and classes, with a one-tap “Enter scores” button, and class teachers get shortcuts for attendance, comments and the broadsheet.
- Parents open the report card on their phone once it is published. They never need to come to school to collect it.
- Old report cards never change when a new term starts, so a student’s history stays accurate for years.
